OUR QUARTETS
 Razzle
Dazzle is a quartet comprised of four unique ladies
brought together by their love of music. These ladies are 6
time Harmony, Inc. Area 6 Quartet Champions
and have placed in the "Top 10"
on the international stage four times. Some
of their performance venues include the Georgia Quilt
Council Fall Convention, “educating” Gwinnett County music
teachers in the style of women’s barbershop, surprise
entertainment for a postal worker’s reunion, Centennial Park
Mayor’s Walk, singing at the Fox Theatre before “The Music
Man" and annual performances at Norcross Christmas Tour of
Homes. Razzle Dazzle shares their love of barbershop with
audiences in metro Atlanta and states as far away as Ohio.
Lead, Cathy Hix, is a church organist and director. She
has sung barbershop for 13 years. Cathy and her
sister-in-law, Jill have been singing in a gospel group
since their teenage years. She is mother to Rebecca.
Tenor, Kathy Rall, is a former elementary school
counselor and mother to her teenage daughter, Jackie.
Kathy's first introduction to barbershop singing was 12
years ago when she became a member of Georiga Connection
Chorus and Razzle Dazzle.
Baritone, Jill Wade, joined Razzle Dazzle 11 years ago.
She loves to sing with her husband and sister-in-law, Cathy,
in their family gospel group. She is a church receptionist
with 3 grown children, Dena, Audrey and Chip. She is also
the proud grandmother of Landon, Milena and Mac.
Bass, Susan Wood, has a 14 year history of singing
barbershop. She shares an optometric practice with her
husband, Jim, and is “Mom" to her daughters Olivia and
Gracie.

 "Running With Scissors" has been together
since February of 2009. The quartet has spent the
last few months choosing songs we love and learning
to work as a team to make beautiful music.
Lead, Trayce Elenteny has been singing barbershop
for 12 years. Previously, she sang in a black gospel
group in Chicago and has also sung Christian music
in a varitey of venues. Her favorite style of music
is blues/jazz. Trayce lives in Lawrenceville,
Georgia with her husband Ray and has 5 children.
Baritone, Sybil Snead is the newest barbershopper,
having joined the chorus in 2005. Sybil has sung
choral music in the past and loves the challenge and
sound of the baritone part. Sybil has 3 grown
children, 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way. She
lives in a home she and her husband Larry built
themselves in Monroe, Georgia.
Tenor, Cynthia Keyes has also sung barbershop for a
number of years. She was previously in a quartet
named “Five Foot Two” which consisted of 4 ladies
all five foot two or under. She is a 5th grade
teacher but has also taught math on the college
level. She lives in Lawrenceville, Georgia with her
16 year old twin boys.
Bass, Susan Wood has been in barbershop for 13
years. She comes by her love of barbershop from her
father who sings in The Southern Gateway Chorus in
Cincinnati, Ohio. Susan and her husband Jim have an
optometric practice and live in Grayson, Georgia
with their 2 daughters.
“Running With Scissors” has an alter ego named
“Shuffling With Scissors, “ which came about at Area
6 Contest and Convention 2009. Instead of dressing
in 70’s garb for the 70’s theme weekend, we dressed
as…….well, 70 year old ladies. We had so much fun we
decided they would have to make the occasional
appearance. |
